Postal Stamp of Iran, One Toman Bronze on Blue Paper

Date of Issue: 1878

Accession No.:1257.10.00027

Only 7 used copies and about 80 unused copies survived and this is one of the most expensive Iranian stamps. The one Toman bronze stamp is printed on a very thin blue paper and the bronze used in its color combination is seen in the form of golden grains below the magnifying glass. There were only 500 copies of it, there is no pair or block of it and an unused copy is really rare.
