Museum
Malek National Museum consists of 8 sections as following:
- Coin collection: including 10 thousands Iranian coins and medals from 6th century B.C. until contemporary age. This collection also includes coins mint in Greece, Seleucid Empire, Byzantine Empire, Muslim Caliphate and Ottoman Empire
- Artifact collection: including paintings of famous Iranian artists such as Kamal al-Molk Ghaffari, Lotfali Suratgar, Hadi Khan Tajvidi as well as European painters, and chandeliers and furniture.
- Lacquer art collection: including 130pieces of Qalamdan (pen case), mirror frame and sar-chasb-dan (a box to hold self-adhesive paper tape); some of them are 300 years old.
- Stamp collection: including 100 thousands stamps of the first printed stamps of Iran and the world.
- Carpet collection: carpet collection consists of 44 carpets and rugs from different regions of Iran, woven by the most skillful carpet-makers of the last two centuries.
- Lady Ezzat Malek collection: this collection covers 47 itemsincluding Qajar painting, manuscript, qalamdan, Sar-Qelian and lacquer art. This collection was donated to Malek Museum by Lady Ezzat Malek; deceased daughter of Haj Hossein Malek and former approbative supervisor of Malek endowed properties.
- Calligraphy collection: this collection covers over 1200 piece of calligraphy and muraqqa’ which have been written by the most famous calligraphers of Iran and Islamic world such as Yaqut Mo’tasami, Alireza Abbasi, Mir Emad, Ahmad Neirizi, Abdol-Majid Taleghani, Mirza Gholamreza Esfahani.
- Haj Hossein Agha Malek collection: this collection is devoted to introduce Haj Hossein Agha as the benefactor of the collection, his background and family relations, information related to the endowments and his personal properties.
